We know that our crafted, hand-spun copper kettles add shimmer and elegance wherever they’re used, and we love to see them take pride of place in the homes of our satisfied customers. If you think so too, then why not take a photo and send it to us as part of our ‘Teatime Snapshots’ competition.
We’re looking for more than great shots of one of our kettles. We want photos that shows the kettle’s surroundings in its reflection, and that provide a glimpse into the personality of the owner, or of how a simple cup of tea is such an important part of home life. And before you start, you can pack Photoshop away: we’re hoping to see less of a professional or perfectionist approach to these snaps, and more of a natural, soulful feel oozing out of each entry.
You can be as creative and unique as you like with your entries, but to give you some inspiration, here are a few ideas:
- A snapshot in time: the quiet solitude of a cup of tea within the storm of a busy day
- Old or new: the complement of a Richmond kettle in a traditional kitchen, or the contrast of a Richmond in a modern one
- Home is where the heart is: the place of tea within relationships, be they couples, families or even between owners and their pets
After the closing date, our CEO Graham Tweed will pick his three personal favourite shots, and the winning entrants will each receive a Richmond Care Kit to keep their kettle in sparkling condition for years to come. We’ll also feature the three shots on the Richmond Kettles website, along with a brief description of the story behind each photo.
