We are pleased to announce the addition to our range of 100% British manufactured leather aprons made from the finest supple leather the country has to offer.
As with all Richmond products, we have chosen to produce our aprons using the best quality materials to be found, and in this case the beauty of full grain, oak bark tanned leather will not disappoint.
The long slow tannage process ensures that the fibres which make up a hide are allowed to remain in their natural weave producing hard wearing leather. Because the natural grain is not corrected by destroying the surface of the leather and applying a uniform finish (as is the case with virtually all leather these days) the weave, or grain, gives each individual apron its own unique finish.
Hardwearing with an authentic look, this stylish leather apron is ideal for protecting your clothes and body from heat and spills. It can be worn in all cooking environments from indoor cooking to barbecuing or even for crafting and DIY.
Our leather aprons mature over the years and develop a rich polished oak colour, displaying natural features such as scars or growth marks. We are firm believers that every hand-made product we produce has a story to tell . . . and our aprons are no exception.
